Lovely Lanvin

Alber Elbaz is one of my favorites and it's easy to see why with this ruffled cream top. Whether he is designing an evening dress or a t-shirt, his clothing oozes effortless glamour. This piece is last season, new with tags from Barneys. Size large, originally $475. How about 1/2 price?

Tahari "Daphne" Clutch

I noticed the gold version of the Daphne in Elle Magazine's April "Retail Therapy" shoot with Anna Farris. I wasn't sure about the proportion of the clutch at first, but it does look rather rocking with her loose Ralph Lauren blouse & harem pants.

Tahari has broken all the rules creating a super stylish, but most importantly useful, oversize clutch. Not only can it hold more than just your 3 smallest possessions, but you could probably fit a laptop inside. The design is the perfect combination of slouchy yet structured. It can even double as a pillow!

Le Couturier

Finding the right tailor can be quite a task, but once you do you're set for life. Le Couturier is my choice for alterations in the Boston area.

I was first introduced to Dick Robasson (tailor to Ralph Lauren, Gucci, & Loro Piana among others) when he was located near The Closet on Newbury Street. He has moved his business to Central Square, but let me tell you, it is worth the trek. 

There is a reason he was voted Best of Boston last year by Boston Magazine. I recently went in for a special project, the remaking a vintage dress, and although I will have to wait a week, I have no doubt it is in the right hands, and will fit me like a glove when finished.
